Callan Cooper joins CF Motorsport

CF Motorsport have today announced the signing of Callan Cooper to lead their National Superstock 600 challenge. Cooper will join, British Supersport rookie, Jake Dixon aboard the distinctive yellow and black machines run by former British Supersport Cup champion, Craig Fitzpatrick.

Cooper, who celebrates his 17th birthday today, has had a successful start to his maiden Superstock 600 campaign. A best result of fifth, at Brands Hatch, has been backed up by a pair of seventh places, Thruxton and Donington.
The Manxman cut his teeth in youth motocross, winning Manx and National titles, before moving onto tarmac. In 2011, Cooper made the step up to British 125GP but struggled after breaking his leg at the second round. He went back to Thundersport last season, where he claimed the Aprilia 450, Supertwin and 650 Open championships.
CF Motorsport boss, Craig Fitzpatrick: "I am really pleased to have signed Callan for the rest of the season. I've been impressed by his performances this year and I think this is an exciting opportunity for everyone involved."

"I think he is a great kid with plenty of talent. He is exactly the sort of rider I am looking for, someone who has the potential to go far in the sport. He also gets on well with Jake [Dixon] which is great from a team point of view."
"We had him over for a track day at Donington and his pace was fantastic. He seemed to get on really well with the bike."

"We are being realistic about our expectations and the important thing is just to keep progressing with every round. Having said that, I strongly believe that we can be pushing for podiums later in the year."
